About
I’m Gabija—a heritage designer in the making, deeply inspired by the beauty and wisdom of classical and traditional architecture.
My interest in heritage began early, shaped by weekends spent with my family visiting historic sites and exploring the stories behind antiques in my mother’s private museum collection.
As I studied spatial design and became more involved with historic architecture, I started to see heritage not as something static or frozen in the past, but as a living source of ideas that still hold relevance today. There’s something deeply meaningful in the way people used to build—with care, symbolism, and lasting beauty.
This blog is part of that ongoing journey. Here, I share my work and field research, and explore the stories, techniques, and ideas behind heritage architecture—drawing from the past to inspire more thoughtful design for the future. My goal is to share what I learn, spark curiosity, and show that classical and traditional design principles are not outdated, but timeless, relevant, and full of valuable lessons for contemporary practice.
